There are lots of different kinds of uniforms in Portlaw. 

There is the Gardaís uniform which is navy trousers, navy jumper and black shoes. 

There is the nurses uniform which in Martin Hospital is blue and white striped dress and in Woodlock it is all white. 

There is the fire-mans uniform, which is navy trousers, yellow jacket with orange stripes going across the shoulder and a yellow hat. 

There is the nuns uniform which is a navy suit and a white. 

There is the school uniform which is a wine jumper and tie with a grey shirt tie and skirt or trousers.

There is the priests uniform which is the black trousers,white collar, black shirt. All these uniforms are important to the community and the fire-manís one is too it is inflammable,
