Trip To Farmleigh

This year we participated in 100 Cribs Ireland which is organised by Veritas. The competition is twinned with Mostra 100 Presepi, which is a prestigious festival held in Rome for the past 30 years to celebrate the Nativity.

Schools were invited to submit a crib for the competition. The judges for the competition were from the National Gallery, the Irish Museum of Modern Art and the Royal Hibernian Academy of Ireland. The four winning entries would be exhibited in Rome and the 100 best Irish cribs will be exhibited in Farmleigh gallery during the Christmas period.

We are delighted to announce that our fifth class entry is to be exhibited in Farmleigh with the official opening by the president Mary McAleese on December 14th. Well done to the pupils and Ms Doris, and to Sinéad Fitzgerald for the brilliant work which they undertook in this competition.

Now read about Our Trip To farmleigh House, when we met the President.
